Tottenham’s Mousa Dembele Eyed For Transfer To Juventus As He Approaches Final Year Of Current Contract

Juventus are tracking Mousa Dembele’s contract situation at Tottenham.

The Belgian’s current deal expires at the end of next season and Dembele has so far insisted he will not discuss extending it until after this summer’s World Cup finals.

The 30-year-old midfielder impressed against serial Italian title winners Juve in February’s first leg of a Champions League last-16 tie, which finished 2-2 in Turin.

Asked about his future earlier this month, he said: “At this moment, I am very happy at Tottenham. I do not lie when I say that.

“I do not think about a big transfer. I want to play a World Cup and afterwards we will see.

“Really, I’m not aware of the interest of other clubs. And, besides, I told my agent to wait for the summer to tell me about any offers.

“For now, I’m only focusing on Tottenham.

“Maybe this is my last season. Or maybe I’ll sign a new deal. We’ll see.”

* SPURS and West Ham are both interested in a summer swoop for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.

The Hammers targeted the 24-year-old Portuguese last summer after growing frustrated in their pursuit of Sporting’s William Carvalho.

Mauricio Pochettino is keen too, however, with Gomes open to a switch to the Premier League.
