Middlesex renews its two-year contract with John Simpson

The English cricketer, John Simpson will continue his association with the Middlesex club till 2021. Recently, the player agreed to a two-year extension of his contract.

Simpson has played more than 300 matches for Middlesex since his debut in 2009. He has earned 451 dismissals while playing for the club. In the entire history of the Middlesex cricket club, just five wicketkeepers could surpass this commendable feat of John Simpson.

Stuart Law, the main coach for the club has acknowledged the pivotal role played by the sportsman with his achievements at Middlesex so far. The 30-years-old player has been in the associated with the club for the past ten years. The coach has further displayed his conviction in Simpson’s talent which he hopes will take the team forward. Law also hopes that the player’s experience will usher in success for the entire team in the upcoming cricket season.

The player has scored more than 8,700 runs in his entire cricket career. As far as the dismissals are concerned, Simpson has 593 of them to his credit.
