To add more thrill to the fever of the upcoming Cricket World Cup, England pacer, Jofra Archer has said he wanted to take Virat Kohli’s wicket the most in this mega tournament.

The epic face-off between them can be viewed as the World’s best one-day batsman versus England’s upcoming promising fast bowler.

In his interview, Archer said that Kohli was his number 1 target in this World Cup because he failed to get his wicket while playing in Indian Premier League.

On Thursday, at World Cup launch of captains, Kohli was made aware about Archer’s comment and the batsman came with his savvy reply.

Kohli said that he took pride in playing for his team and having an impact on every game he played. He considered the comment as a compliment since it was coming from the world-class bowler himself.

He went on to say that he looked forward to seeing Archer bowling. Kohli mentioned that he watched the pacer play in the IPL and was impressed with his skills.

Eoin Morgan, the captain of England’s cricket team also agreed that Jofra is young and confident, and excellent in the 50-over game.
