“Avengers: Endgame”, the Marvel Superhero saga has made a record collection of $60 million at Canadian and U.S box offices. The whopping collection was reckoned for Thursday night. Walt Disney Co, the distributor for the most anticipated film of the year, forecasted an unparalleled weekend debut of $300 million.
If it goes as per the prediction, the collection would break the $258 million domestic record set by “Avengers: Infinity War” on the opening weekend in 2018.
The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Hemsworth. “Avengers: Endgame” is the 22nd and the last film of the Marvel series. Infinity War, the 21st movie, preceded the “Endgame” and saw the fall of several Marvel superheroes.
The final movie of the series has Black Widow, the Hulk and Iron Man who have survived to destroy Thanos, the supervillain. They are further striving to undo the catastrophe caused by the baddie.
The domestic sales of Thursday evening surpassed the $57 million record of opening-night made by “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in 2015.
On Wednesday, “Endgame” hit the international markets and created sensations in various countries including China. Disney shared that on Friday morning, the worldwide ticket sales hit $305 million.
